A Little About Me . . .

I’ve been writing since I finished my first Nancy Drew book, The Hidden Staircase. (You always remember your first, right?) The mystery . . . the frocks . . . the roadster.

By the time I was twelve, I wanted to be a professional writer. Ever the practical Midwesterner, I earned a Bachelor of Journalism. I’m a former newspaper reporter and corporate communications director with an MBA in marketing. When my son was born, I decided to save the world, and switched from Fortune 500 companies to non-profit work.

Five years ago, considering the world semi-safe, I launched my creative writing by joining the Missouri Romance Writers (MORWA). I’ve served as MORWA’s president, PR chair and contest chair. I write almost every evening because during the day, I’m still trying to make the world a better place.

I live with my family, three cats and two dogs, who graciously let me borrow their names for Scent of Fear.
