Bio

NJ Litz is a former journalist and communications director. (Litz is a college nickname.)

A member of Sisters in Crime and former member of Romance Writers of America, her stories have finaled in numerous contests.

She lives with her family in the Missouri. Not surprisingly given her book, she is an animal lover, and always adopts rescue animals. At one time, she had two dogs and three cats (which may have been a little too much.) She now only has one dog, one cat, and two very unique granddogs--all of whom you can meet here.

Rascal
Rascal on alert in case a group of marauding chipmunks try to storm the house. (Naming him Rascal may have been a mistake as it became a self-fulfilling prophecy.) We always adopt black dogs because we heard they are usually the last ones adopted.
Bowie and Mac
These are my granddogs, Bowie and Mac. Bowie is so named because he has one blue eye and one brown eye. Mac is a puppy, and we're hoping the next year passes quickly because we'd forgotten how energetic puppies can be!
Oscar
Oscar is our 17-year-old cat. He's very fond of sunny days on the deck, and heating pads in the winter.
